The Customer Orders feature allows users to create, manage, and track customer purchase requests within BlueKat.
Accessing Customer Orders

From the Main Dashboard:

Customer Orders Dashboard
Overview
The Customer Orders screen provides a complete view of all orders with status tracking, search, and filtering tools.
Status Summary Cards
At the top of the screen, you will see order status counters:
| Status | Description |
| Pending | Orders not yet completed or invoiced |
| Completed | Orders finalized |
| Invoiced | Orders already converted into invoices |
| Voided | Cancelled or invalid orders |
These cards give a quick overview of operational activity.

| New Order Button | Create a new customer order |
| Filter Icon | Filter orders by date (Today, 7 Days, etc.) |
| CO Number | Unique Customer Order number |
| Invoice # | Linked invoice (if generated) |
| Customer | Customer name |
| Reference | Custom reference entered by user |
| Date | Order creation date |
| Sales Rep | Assigned sales representative |
| Email Icon | Indicates email/communication status |
| Status | Order status (Pending, Completed, Invoiced) |
Filtering Orders
Overview
Users can filter orders using the filter icon on the right.
Available Filters
- Today
- Tomorrow
- 7 Days
- 15 Days
- 30 Days
- Custom
This helps users quickly locate recent or scheduled orders.
Creating a Customer Order
Overview
Clicking New Order opens the order creation screen.
How to Create a Customer Order
- Click New Order
- Select a Customer
- Enter an optional Reference
- Add comments (optional)
- Click Add Item to include products
- Enter quantities and pricing
- Click Complete or leave as Pending

Add Items
Click Add Item to:
- Search products by name
- Select products from catalog
- Add quantities and pricing
Totals Summary
On the right side:

| Pending | Save order without completing |
| Complete | Finalize the order |
Order Status Behavior
| Status | Description |
| Pending | Order is saved but not finalized |
| Completed | Order is finalized and ready for invoicing |
| Invoiced | Order has been converted into an invoice |
| Voided | Order has been cancelled |
Relationship with Invoices
- Orders can be converted into invoices
- The Invoice # column shows linked invoices
- Once invoiced, the order status updates automatically
Best Practices
- Always select the correct Customer before adding items
- Use Reference for tracking external systems
- Review totals before clicking Complete
- Use Pending if the order is not finalized
- Regularly filter orders to monitor activity
Common Issues
Cannot Complete Order
- No items added
- Missing customer
- Invalid quantities
Order Not Appearing
- Check filters (date range)
- Verify status selection
Invoice Not Linked
- Order may not be completed yet
- Invoice has not been generated
